The "Endless Summer" Cruise to Tinsley Island

Three Yacht Clubs will be hosting this weekend: The Corinthian YC, the San Francisco YC and the Encinal YC. Special thanks to the St. Francis YC for allowing all of us to spend some time on this special island in the Delta. Please sign up by September 10th; the reservation sheet is on the club bulletin board.

Schedule of Events:

Friday 9:00 am – 6:00 pm Power boats will stern tie to the docks just inside the entrance to Tinsley Island. Sailboats will proceed to the right after passing through the entrance channel and side tie up to the docks around the north end of the island. We will be monitoring channel 68 if you have questions or are lost.

Friday 3:30 – Odom remote control sailboat races on the west-end dock. Pray for wind.

Friday 6:00 Enjoy Bill Canada and Trip Ames’s Famous Martini Cocktail Hour at the “Surf’s Up Bar.” Please bring a hors d’oeuvre to share with your mates. Following cocktails, bring your steaks, ribs, chicken and lobsters for BBQing. DJ Hip Hop Dr. Eric will be playing his favorite tunes after diner. We shall dance the night away.

Saturday AM Rumor has it, Bloody Mary’s will be served by our friends from the Encinal Yacht Club. Be on the look out for a rowdy group handing out plastic glasses with a celery garnish. Start decorating your table for the 5:30 judging. This year’s theme “A Day at the Beach.” The top three tables will be awarded prizes.

Saturday 1:00 pm - Let the GAMES begin: Horseshoes, Bocce Ball, and Dominos.

Saturday 2:00 pm - Maui Bob’s Pina Colada Bar reopens.

Saturday 3:30 pm - The CYC vs. SFYC Volleyball tournament.

Saturday 6:00 pm The San Francisco Yacht Club Cocktail Hour. Please bring a hors d’oeuvre to share. Cocktails followed by more BBQing. Awards ceremony right after diner. Hit the Dance Floor – a new featured musical guest this year.

Sunday – Head home, you party animal.

Just a note, please leave your pets; dogs, cats, birds, and ferrets at home this year.
