This year’s Easter Brunch was another huge success! Complete with arts and crafts, an Easter egg hunt, and a visit from the Easter Bunny, kids and adults alike enjoyed the fun, games, and tasty brunch. Thank you to Paula Hansson for being the Chairperson as well as the Easter Bunny, John Bogue who always “commandeers” the egg hunt, Barbara and Andre Klein for supplying film and taking photos of the children with the Easter Bunny and Jane Elkins, Mary Anne Bogue and Shala Morid for helping to decorate and make this event another winner. There were approximately 170 people in attendance!

May began with the first session of the annual Women’s Sailing Seminar chaired by Susan Travis. Thank you to Susan and all the volunteers who donated their time, knowledge and boats to this wonderful event! The ladies of CYC learned sailing fundamentals and the second session to be held on a weekend in early Fall will focus on spinnakers, racing skills and strategy. Both weekends are a must for women sailors at any level of experience, from novice to advanced, as both skills and confidence are the goals of these courses! Contact Susan Travis, sutravis@attbi.com, for more information regarding the upcoming second session.

The Corinthian Women and Nordstrom hosted the second annual “Naughty Yachty” Fashion Show luncheon at the club. Thank you to Kris Kuettel and Teresa Prescott for organizing this event and to all of our model members who graced the catwalk.

Calling all junior sailors! Once again, the Corinthian Women are offering a Junior Sailing Scholarship. All CYC members or immediate family of CYC members under the age of eighteen are eligible. Simply write a letter to the Board of Corinthian Women (attention: Sharon Barr at the CYC) explaining how you would use the scholarship to further your sailing endeavors and skills. The recipient will be selected by the Board of Corinthian Women this June based on the letters received. Good luck!

Just a reminder… The Corinthian Women meet the second Wednesday of each month. Meetings are most often held in the club library and all Corinthian women are encouraged and invited to attend. TCW is a great organization and a wonderful way to meet new friends, have a lot of fun, and get involved in the club!
