119th Annual Cooks & Waiters' DinnerBy Dan Carrico That's right, mates! Its all hands on deck for our 119th Annual Cooks and Waiters' Dinner! It will be held Saturday, February 5th, 2005. Come celebrate and participate in one of the oldest of Corinthian traditions! The event is open to all Corinthian men and their adult male guests. We will have the usual pomp and circumstance plus high jinx during the dinner and evenings' program. Plan to come early in the day for card games and just hanging out with buddies, or making new ones. Boats are welcome too (actually a good idea)! Please check with me through the club office for availability and assignments in advance. Don't want to give too much away, but the boys on the entertainment committee are workin' hard to make sure you will have a really fun time this year! The freight this year is $67 per man and includes lunch, dinner, all libations and entertainment. Reservations are requested, please reserve with the CYC office. If this will be your first, ask around the guys as to what to expect. If you do not have a job yet, let the office know you're interested. Whether you are already a "member" of the Cooks and Waiters' Union Marine Local #23, or not yet inducted, it's all the same -the boys down here at the union hall will be looking for you and your annual dues contribution on the 5th -just so's you keep in good standing! |
