Harbor Happenings

by Matthew Gorton

To try and keep everyone up to date on the activities in the harbor, this is the first of a new regular column for the Telltale.

Comings and Goings

A14: Bill and Nancy Giachino purchased a bigger boat (Always Home) and were moved up to the newly established slip A14. Congratulations.

A1: Much to the delight of the regulars on Pneumonia Alley, a series of fittings were held as we worked our way down the A-Line waiting list to find a new occupant for A1. The first boat to fit the slip is Meditrina, belonging to Bill Stucky. Welcome in, Bill. Note: please see rule changes below.

A10: Win Len has taken a leave of absence for three months to take Wenlimir up to Seattle. Win’s slip was offered to the A-Line waiting list, and was accepted by David Johnson and Gypsy, who will enjoy it for the summer. Welcome David, but don’t get too comfortable, mate!

D-Line: Evan Pugh resigned from his 36 ft. slip. We are in the process of working down the B/C/D waiting list.

G2: Curtis Press moved out. The first boat on the E/G waiting list to fit the slip is Valentine, belonging to Bill Wilson, so welcome to the harbor, Bill!

Rule Changes

A1: This slip has draft restrictions limiting the boats that it can accommodate. To avoid continual waitlist leap-frogging, the A1 slip has been offered with a new condition. The condition does not allow the tenant of A1 to move to another A line slip until they have been offered a larger slip from the A line waiting list.

General Updates

Harbor wall painting is underway. Thanks go to the Corinthian Women for donating the industrial power washer.
