WHO ARE THOSE GUYS?
by Marcia Peck
The Corinthian Women have an annual junior sailing scholarship that is awarded each year to young club members who express a desire to learn to sail. This year, three juniors wrote such good letters to the women's board, they each received a $250 dollar scholarship. They are Hillary and Dylan Lowe, and Nicholas Dugdale. We heard from Nicholas in a past issue when at age 10, he restored a Sid skiff dinghy. Nicholas has since used his scholarship money to take the junior sailing course at the San Francisco Yacht Club. He also took a sailing course on his family vacation on the island of Paros in Greece! We'll be hearing from this kid! Hillary and Dylan Lowe are the teenage children of club member, Laurie Bolard. They can usually be found sailing with their mother on her beautiful Swan 38, Truant. |
