Valentine’s Day Dinner

Romance, roses and hearts were in abundance in Members Dining on February 10 while many members and friends shared a Valentine’s Day celebration. Thanks to Sandra Solomon for assisting with arranging table decorations and to Leila Heyman and Frances Ramage for adding final touches to the festive atmosphere. Congratulations to Chef Ian for a wonderful menu selection culminating with a sumptuous chocolate heart for dessert. Several couples sharpened up their two-step while listening to memorable Gershwin/Porter tunes sung by Claudia Newberry, accompanied by pianist John Groves. Claudia mentioned that she has recently released a new CD. I will have purchasing info soon for those who may be interested.

Upcoming Events:

Mother’s Day Brunch, May 13

Calendar this day to get Mom out of the kitchen and to the Club on her special day to enjoy Mother’s Day Brunch with her family. An exciting menu is planned and Michelle Sell will be on hand to play various selections on the harp. Special recognition goes to Marj Bundschuch for planning this lovely event. Watch for a flyer in the April mailing. Seating is limited so please reserve early.

Father’s Day Brunch, June 17

Dad’s important day is rapidly approaching on June 17. Don’t forget to invite Dad to CYC for a tasty brunch. For the entire family’s listening pleasure, we have arranged for jazz pianist Judy Hall to play with Espen Skarr on bass guitar from 11:30 am – 2:30 pm. Fathers of all ages will be certain to enjoy this event. More info to follow in the May mailing. Don’t delay in making a reservation for this one.
