End Notes

by Bruce Powell

If you have visited the web site lately, you will note that the Dining Room page has been updated. Of special note is that our Dining Room’s chef, Ian Morrison, has won the Antonin Carème Medal for excellence in cuisine. This prestigious
national award is presented by the Chefs Association of the Pacific Coast to those outstanding chefs who go beyond the normal call of the field of gastronomy and food service.

He shares this year's award with chef Narsai David. Notable past recipients of the award include Julia Child, Martin Yan, and Bradley Ogden. Read about it and preview this weekend’s upcoming menu online at our Dining Room page at http://www.cychistory.org/dining.html.

Speaking of online technology, club member Bill Brady has brought a wireless broadband network to the Club. For a few dollars a month, club members can enjoy wireless high speed internet access from their laptop computers around the club and while docked in the harbor.

Thanks again to this month’s photo contributors including Marcia Peck, which make all the difference for our newsletter and web site.
