Corinthians Sail the Pacific Cup

by Bruce Powell

Three boats entered in this year's PACIFIC CUP from San Francisco Bay to Hawaii under the Corinthian burgee: Michael Moradzadeh and John Warren on Cayenne, Keith Buck on Petard, and Ray Minehan on Emilie Carr.

The Corinthians sailed a course from San Francisco Bay to Hawaii in the first weeks of July. Cayenne served as the communications boat for the fleet, so we were treated with a stream of emails describing their voyage.

Cayenne’s crew managed to overcome adversity by improvising new spinnaker halyard gear, while Michael discovered that he really didn’t care at all for Vienna sausages.

You can read all about it on the Corinthian Yacht Club web site at http://www.cychistory.org/race/racing02/paccup.html.
