On the Harbor
by Charlie White
The harbor Committee has been hard at work to maintain the slips and breakwater in a condition that all Club members would be proud of. I hope you have noticed the new ramp between C and D lines. The one between B and C lines will be ordered in 2003.
I would like to thank Hans Roeben and Greg Quilici for analyzing the failed paint job on the seawall cap. Hans volunteered to take on the project of having it corrected. He convinced the painting contractor to return and de-rust, sand, prime, and recoat the metal cap. Only through his tireless efforts, with many hours of supervising the contractor, was the project properly corrected. Again, as chairman of the Harbor Committee, I want to thank Hans for his dedication to the Corinthian Yacht Club.
I want to remind you that according to Harbor rules, all berth occupants are required to have on file in the Club office, a current insurance policy showing third-party damage coverage of at least $100,000 and a current registration or documentation. It is due by January 30, 2003. Vessels who fail to meet this deadline will be given a thirty-day eviction notice.
