by Ron Roberts Calling all Corinthian Men! The 116th Annual Cooks & Waiters Dinner is approaching soon. Be sure to write February 2nd on your calendar. Call to make reservations as soon as you can. Remember, the event starts early Saturday. Lunch is included. The event is not limited to members, so you can bring a close friend. This is generally a good time to invite that buddy who has been contemplating joining the club, but has been holding back. Come by early to help out, socialize, play cards, or just hang out.
This year it looks like we have been able to keep the Cooks & Waiters Union, Local 23, under control. But, one never knows. Also, I just received an inside tip from a secret source, that some very special events are in the offing. No more comedians or magicians. Take advantage of this wonderful tradition to drink, smoke, carouse and otherwise act like a man. Calling all Corinthian Women! Yes, you get your special event, too. The annual Mermaids of Mischief will be meeting again. As per custom, this will coincide with the Cooks & Waiters Dinner on December 2. I tried to get some information to pass on about the event this year, but inasmuch as I am a man, no one would tell me anything! All I know for sure is that a lot of gorgeous women will be meeting at a secret location and that a flyer will be posted some time in the near future on the bulletin board at the club. By the way, the Club annual directory will be going to press very soon, so please make sure that we have your latest address, phone, and e-mail addresses as soon as possible.
